Our Technologies
We are expert in the latest moulded fibre technologies
We Operate Two Core Moulding Technologies
Wet Moulding and Dry Moulding
Wet Moulding
In wet moulding, pulp fibres are suspended in water, vacuum formed wet and heat dried while in a tool press to obtain perfect form. This technology offers flexible manufacturing with lower MOQs (500,000 units or greater).
In wet moulding, we use sustainable virgin bamboo and bagasse fibres that are food grade. The products are dried in temperatures in excess of 180OC thereby making them naturally very high hygiene and excellent candidate for making ovenable products.
In addition, wet moulding allows for embossing and debossing on horizontal surfaces.
Dry Moulding
In dry moulding, pulp fibres are pressed under extremely high pressure to make for a very dense substrate; similar to plastic. This technology offers exceptionally high volume thereby requiring higher MOQs (greater than 5-10 million units).
Dry moulded fibre has the lowest carbon footprint in comparison to plastic and conventional wet moulding.
Uniquely, dry moulded products, can have steep vertical walls (< 3o ) and undercuts. In addition, dry moulded products can be coloured, embossed or debossed on any surface.
